BAY, Inc. Celebrates Personal Triumphs--Alon Brener in the Spot Light

BAY, Inc. would never become the West Coast’s premier promotional advertising and marketing firm it is today had it not been for the hard work of one man—Alon Brener, owner of BAY, Inc. Brener was born in 1981 in Israel, and he grew up in the city of Haifa. “I attended a dozen different high schools, as I had a very hard time sitting in one place for too long,” he admits. Brener started working (against his parents’ will) when he was just sixteen years old because he was determined to make his own money.

After serving in the Israeli army for three years, Brener decided to take a detour in his life plan. “I began a year of travel throughout South America, submerging myself in the culture, learning the language and embracing the music and food. My appetite for travel and business led me to the United States when I was twenty-three with the goal of opening my own business.”

Brener began his journey with this industry in California and completed most of his development in the Los Angeles branch. “The business I had been operating as an entrepreneur was very profitable but had an extremely high overhead and left much to be desired as far as fulfillment was concerned,” Brener explains. “I started to research other business models and was blown away by this opportunity. The growth potential is unlimited, and I can actually help people establish a career while generating a personal income that allows me to live the lifestyle I want to live.”

Succeeding in this business came very naturally to Brener, and he advanced to Assistant Manager within five months. Brener then moved to San Francisco to take what he had learned and opened his own organization, BAY, Inc., in June of 2008. “I love to travel, and expanding from the Bay Area into more national and international markets is definitely something I would like to explore in the coming years.”

While his triumphs have been great, Brener says that along the way he has faced his fair share of challenges as well. “Unfortunately, one of the greatest hurdles I had to overcome was working with Americans and adjusting to the change in the country’s work ethic and style.” Brener says he stuck to his path and followed the system like a GPS device and worked to overcome the difficulties. “As funny as it sounds, I had to learn how to manage Americans. My previous business was primarily working with people from my own country, so it was a bit of a culture shock. My advice is this: when you drive a car with a GPS, you blindly follow every command. This business’ system is similar; trust that it will help you get to your final destination.”

While Brener learned much from each of the people who have supported him, he offers his own advice for others. “This is a momentum business. It can be very hard to gain momentum and very easy to lose it. Become a master at the aspects of our game: student mentality, attitude and work ethic. Be receptive to constructive feedback because you won’t know what to make better unless someone tells you, and be the one that everyone wants to learn from because you have the best attitude. Make everyone around you better.”

Despite his challenges, Brener has learned to prevail and finds much joy in the success of his organization. “When customers are so genuinely ecstatic to take their family to the game, or spend a much-needed day at the spa, and do the things they normally wouldn’t be able to afford right now, it’s very satisfying. When a small business owner is so extremely grateful for a successful grand opening thanks to your promotion, and when a business begs you to put their promotion in the field because it keeps their doors open, I know we have a good thing going,” Brener says. “Most of all, when I see the people that I am mentoring reach their goals and achieve their dreams, it is very easy to wake up and go to work every day.” The BAY inc team, benefiting from this reality every day they work, feels the same way.

BAY, Inc. is a sports and entertainment advertising firm that does the marketing and promotions for sports teams and Fortune 500 companies all throughout California. BAY, Inc. takes pride in the three divisions that accomplish this task—The Road Show Division, Business to Business Division, and the newly added Corporate Events Division. It utilizes all of its three divisions to direct more customers through the clients’ doors. Starting off the New Year with a waiting list of clients, it is no wonder BAY, Inc. continues to grow rapidly!
